27th November 2015 – A.R.C Clare Street, Northampton

It is with great pleasure we can announce the completion of the £1.3m refurbishment of this magnificent grade 2 listed building.

Works began in February to refurbish the interior of the building to bring in line with other modern T.A training facilities around the east midlands.

Works included refurbishing offices, the conference room and officers’ and sergeants’ messes; converting rooms to provide additional offices; providing new classroom facilities; reflooring the drill hall and installing new shower facilities.

GNA as quantity surveyor insured that costs were carefully controlled to ensure the EMRFCA’s strict budget was closely adhered to.

Like works to any listed building, this required a careful and meticulous approach to ensure adherence to all relevant legislation and restrictions on appearance whilst keeping costs down.

Below are a selection of a our favourite photos; however do visit our gallery for a few more!
