CDM / Health and Safety

The focus on health and safety in the building industry continues to grow year on year with the 3rd incarnation of the CDM Regulations; now in place as of April 6th 2015, only serving to highlight this.

The 2015 issue places even greater onus and responsibility on clients and designers to play an active role in on-site health and safety resulting from a need to:

  • Maintain and improve worker protection
  • Simplify the regulations
  • Improve the health and safety on small sites
  • Discourage bureaucracy
  • Introduce better regulation principles
  • Align notification requirements with the E.U Directive
  • Apply the regulations to domestic clients

GNA have provided CDM / H&S advice since the inception of the CDM Regulations in 1994 for all manner of clientele; from assisting in capital maintenance programs for major high street retailer Boots to house extensions in Leicester, we have the depth and breadth of experience.
